Drain and dry your tofu. Cut tofu into cubes. Pour the milk into your shallow bowl. Add the tofu to the bowl, coating it. In the ziplock bag, add the cornstarch, sesame seeds and seasoning. Drop the cubes of tofu into the ziplock bag (not the milk though!) and gently shake the bag until the tofu is coated in the mixture.

Instructions. Prepare the tofu by heating the sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add your cubed tofu. Let the tofu get crispy on each side. Once all sides are crispy, add your soy sauce and let it reduce and crisp even more for another 6-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Working in batches, fry each piece of tofu until golden brown on all sides, around 4-5 minutes. Transfer the tofu to a large plate lined with paper towel and repeat until all of the tofu is cooked, adding more oil to the pan if needed. Put the tofu, broccoli and chickpeas in the oven and cook for 15 minutes, turning half way through. Meanwhile, cook the quinoa. Add it to a saucepan with 375ml/1.5 cups of water and a little salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, and cook for 15 minutes, covered. Thinly slice the zucchini and cabbage.

Thicken the Sauce: Bring the sauce to a low boil over medium high heat. Stir in the cornstarch / arrowroot powder mixture and stir until thickened. Keep warm over low heat until the tofu is cooked. Add Tofu: Toss the cooked tofu in the sauce and let it simmer on low for 2-3 minutes then remove from heat.

Step 3: Assemble vegan kebab bowl. Assemble romaine lettuce, radicchio, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, peppers and coleslaw in a bowl or on a plate. Place on a clean dish cloth or between paper towels and gently press to soak up some of the moisture. Dice the tofu into 1/2 inch cubes. Marinate: In a medium bowl or shallow dish, combine the soy sauce, sambal, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and sweet onions. Toss in the tofu and let rest in for 10 minutes.

Combine the soy sauce, maple syrup, sriracha, sesame oil and ginger powder in a bowl and set aside. Cut the tofu into cubes and toss with corn starch. Let marinate for about 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375 Fahrenheit. Once marinated, toss with the cornstarch, then toss with the breadcrumbs. Add to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each piece so they can really get crispy. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Step 1: Bake the Tofu. Cube the tofu then place it in a bowl and gently toss with the soy sauce, pepper and garlic powder. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or use a bit of non-stick cooking spray) then place the tofu on the tray and bake for 30 minutes, flipping once half way through, until browned and crisp.

Meanwhile, make the sauce and pan-fry the tofu. Place 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 teaspoons maple syrup, 2 teaspoons whole-grain mustard, and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes in a small bowl or liquid measuring cup and whisk to combine. Drain the tofu and cut into 1-inch pieces. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon olive.

Cube tofu and toss (gently) with the cornstarch until coated. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Arrange broccoli and peppers on another baking sheet. Drizzle all with olive oil and salt. Roast both pans at 425 degrees for 20-30 minutes, until tofu is slightly crisped and broccoli is roasty and delicious.

Drain and set aside. Pour the cornflour out onto a plate and season with salt and pepper. Roll and coat each cube of tofu in the cornflour mixture, then shake off any excess. Heat the oil in a large pan over a medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tofu pieces and fry for 2-3 minutes each side until golden and crispy.


How to Make a Quick and Easy Vegan Tofu Bowl

Place tofu on a paper-towel lined plate; press a paper towel and heavy skillet over top of tofu to absorb excess water. Let stand 15 minutes before dicing into bite-size cubes. In a large bowl, combine tofu, cornstarch, chili powder, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir in 1 tablespoon olive oil until well combined.
